Prof. Rishman Jot Kaur Chahal

Research Collaborator

Dr. Chahal is currently working as an assistant professor of economics in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR). She is also a joint faculty for the Mehta School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IITR. Prior this, she undertook a research internship in environmental economics at the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD), United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), Montreal, Canada. Dr. Chahal has prestigious publications in Energy Economics, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and International Review of Financial Analysis along with prestigious Conferences and workshops like WEAI, ASSA/AEA, ADBI. With this research experience she is associated with various research projects supported by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and IIT Roorkee. She received her Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Economics from the SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi (DU) in 2013, Masters of Social Sciences in Economics from Madras School of Economics, Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) in 2015 and PhD in Economics from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) in 2020.

Ramesh Bandi

CEO & Founder

Ramesh Bandi is a financial expert experienced at Algo trading & stock market analysis. Ramesh’s stint at IITRoorkee has given him strong foundations in mathematics and statistics which later helped him masterquantitative analysis for portfolio optimization. He has more than fifteen years of experience in portfoliomanagement services (PMS) including evaluating portfolios, using data sciences, derivative analytics andstrategy performance. He is not only capable in enhancing existing trading and analytical infrastructure but alsowell versed in adopting latest technologies to execute algo trading models. Ramesh has executed twosuccessful fintech start-ups from ground zero. Building latest IT infrastructure and nourishing young talent hasbecome part of his passions.

Prof S.K. Gupta

Research Collaborator

Prof. S. K. Gupta received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee in 2008. Prof. Gupta started his teaching career from the School of Mathematics and Computer Applications, Thapar University, Patiala (2006-2008) and then worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Patna (2008-2012). Presently, Prof Gupta is an Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, IIT Roorkee. He has been actively engaged in research in the area of Machine Learning, Support Vector machines, Optimization under uncertainty, and Optimization theory including multiobjective, and non-smooth and non-convex optimization. He has published more than 75 research papers in several reputed journals and conferences. He has also carried out several sponsored research projects funded by UCOST and Industries. He has also supervised 7 PhD and more than 20 Master thesis at IIT Roorkee. As a teacher, Prof. Gupta has been teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He is also involved in developing online courses for National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) of MHRD, Govt. of India. He is a recipient of Outstanding teacher’s award at IIT Roorkee in 2018 and Prof. Bal Krishna Outstanding teacher award in 2022 for his contributions to undergraduate teaching.

Dr. Asha Rani

Managing Director

Dr. Asha Rani has diverse experience in research and application of AI-ML in building autonomous solutions. Previously she worked as Women Scientist-A at Computer Science and Engineering Department IIT Roorkee, Successfully completed a project entitled “Multimodal biometric based personal authentication system”. In this project she developed a person authentication system based on human palm prints and another one based on human faces. She also developed a machine learning algorithm bases on neural networks.

Kishan Malineni

Mentor

Kishan is a Managing Director with Accenture Security. He brings over 25 years experience delivering enterprise security projects primarily focused on Identity & Access Management. He is an expert in Architecting, Delivering, Building, Integrating and Managing highly complex and large-scale Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies, processes. Kishan leads Digital Identity (DI) client engagements supporting consumer and enterprise IAM programs. His experience stems from leading and working on large IAM implementation and transformation projects with extensive focus on architecting, implementing and managing Identity and Access Management solutions. He has extensive hands-on and architecture experience in the delivery of IAM technologies using several market leading products.

Priyanka Chinta

Financial Planner

Priyanka Chinta completed her MBA and also completed her certifcation in Certified Financial Planner(CFP) from FPSB Board. She had 3 plus years of experience in Financial Planning, Investment Planning and Financial Analysis. She also has experiance in personal financial planning. She had hands on experinace in create a Financial Planning based on clients future financial goals.

Prof. Sanjeev Kumar

Research Collaborator

Prof. Sanjeev Kumar received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee in 2008. Subsequently, he joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Udine, Italy as a postdoctoral fellow. Prof. Kumar started his teaching career at the Department of Mathematics, IIT Roorkee in November 2010. He is also affiliated with Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Roorkee as a joint faculty. Currently he is working as a full professor at IIT Roorkee. Prof. Kumar has been actively engaged in research in the area of computational methods for inverse problems, image processing, and machine learning & Artificial Intelligence. He has published more than 70 research papers in several reputed journals and conferences. He has also carried out several sponsored research projects funded by DST, SERB, MeiTy, ISRO and Industries. He has supervised 8 Ph.D and more than 25 Master thesis at IIT Roorkee. As a teacher, Prof. Kumar has been teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He is also involved in developing online courses for National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) of MHRD, Govt. of India. He is a recipient of Outstanding teacher’s award at IIT Roorkee for his contributions to undergraduate teaching.
